Explore the Bahamas’ Exuma Islands in luxury alongside a family crew with a passion for sailing. Sail to remote beaches and snorkel over coral reefs only accessible by small boats. Visit pristine, uninhabited islands the cruise ships can’t reach. Dive for gigantic lobsters and eat your catch for dinner. At night, gaze up at the sweeping expanse of the Milky Way and fall asleep to the gentle rocking of the boat in a peaceful, protected anchorage.
Where Eco-Travel Meets Luxury
Rising Sons Sailing offers all-inclusive seven-day (six nights) voyages for up to six guests aboard Aquafinity, our deluxe 46-foot sailing catamaran. Far more spacious than a monohull watercraft, Aquafinity provides ample room, including both sunny and shaded areas to spread out and enjoy the ocean. The stability of the catamaran reduces the likelihood of seasickness, while our recent upgrades allow us to travel powered only by the sun and wind. Our spacious guest cabins have all been recently renovated and feature private bathrooms. Fresh, gourmet meals and beverages are included, along with guided snorkeling, underwater photography, fishing (casting and trolling), spear fishing, and lobstering. We provide all the gear, use of two paddle boards, and two “subwings.”
Our Coast Guard certified crew spent three years refitting the boat for eco-travel, and exploring the Exumas’ many beaches, inlets, and shoals. Boasting the world’s third-largest coral reef, the Bahamas’ clear waters are practically bursting with colorful marine life. We know the best spots for every activity, whether it’s shallow water snorkeling or advanced spearfishing. Captain Scott is also an experienced open-water swimmer who has swum all over the world. Swimming aficionados can swim for miles in window-clear water, over sparkling white sand and technicolored coral reefs.
Our trips include excursions to visit the Exuma’s famous swimming pigs, gently gliding sea turtles, endangered iguanas, and, if desired, pods of nurse sharks. Those wishing to spend more time on land can hike to the breathtaking vista points on the islands we visit. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the friendly company of our crew as they safely sail from one island to the next and prepare tasty, flavorful meals cooked with local ingredients.
We are LGBTQ+ friendly. We treat every guest with respect and provide a safe environment.

The Jewel of the Bahamas
Known as “the jewel of the Bahamas,” the Exumas is a chain of 365 islands surrounded by some of the clearest waters in the world. Only 230 miles from Miami, the Exumas remain largely uninhabited and unspoiled (save a smattering of exclusive lodges and private islands). Best explored by boat, the Exumas chain runs 170 miles north to south, with white sand beaches and coral reefs along both east and west coasts. East of the islands, the deep blue water drops to 6,000 feet and offers some of the world’s best sport fishing. The west side, where we spend most of our time, is more protected, with shallow sandy bottoms extending as far as 40 miles that offer calm sailing and spectacular snorkeling. Covered with tropical vegetation, the islands offer hiking and spectacular cliff views. In addition to the coral reefs, we will swim in flowing saltwater rivers, blue holes and the postcard-worthy grottos and caves.
